On August 1, 2022 Oregon’s Marion County had 168 of the 624 foreign nationals (criminal aliens) incarcerated in the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) prison system; the county was first in foreign national crime in the state with 26.92 percent of the criminal aliens in DOC prisons.

Information obtained from the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) indicated on August 1, 2022 revealed that 12 of the 624 foreign nationals (criminal aliens) in the state’s prison system were incarcerated for drug crimes — 1.92 percent of the criminal alien prison population.

Using DOC U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) immigration detainer numbers, the following table reveals the total number criminal alien inmates in the DOC prison system along with the number and percentage of those alien inmates incarcerated on August 1st in the state’s prisons for drug crimes.

Criminal aliens incarcerated in DOC prisons committed at least one crime of rape in 19 of 36 Oregon counties — 52.78 percent of the counties in the state.

Five Oregon counties Washington (43 alien rapists), Marion (36 alien rapists), Multnomah (23 alien rapists), Lane (14 alien rapists) and Clackamas (8 alien rapists) had 124of 149 criminal alien inmates incarcerated in DOC prisons for the crime of rape — 83.22 percent of the alien inmates incarcerated for rape.

Information obtained from the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) indicated on August 1, 2022 that 381 of 624 foreign nationals (criminal aliens) in the state’s prison system were incarcerated for three types of sex crimes — rape, sex abuse and sodomy — 61.06 percent of the criminal alien prison population (Note: The number of criminal aliens incarcerated for sex crimes in DOC prisons does not necessarily equal the number of Oregon residents victimized by alien rape, sex abuse and sodomy.).

Using DOC U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) immigration detainer numbers, the following table is a numerical breakdown by number and percentage of the 381 criminal alien inmates incarcerated on August 1st in the state’s prisons for the crimes of rape, sex abuse and sodomy.

Seven Oregon counties, Marion (101 alien sex offenders), Washington (92 alien sex offenders), Multnomah (68 alien sex offenders), Lane (24 alien sex offenders), Clackamas (18 alien sex offenders), Yamhill (13 alien sex offenders) and Jackson (10 alien sex offenders) had 326 of 381 criminal alien inmates incarcerated in DOC prisons for sex crimes — 85.56 percent of the alien sex offenders incarcerated in the state’s prisons.

Criminal aliens from 17 Asia-Pacific identified countries were incarcerated in the DOC prison system.

Some background information, all 51 criminal aliens incarcerated in the DOC prison system from Asia-Pacific countries were identified by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and have ICE immigration detainers placed on them.

Beyond the DOC criminal alien incarceration numbers and percentages by countries of origin, by crime types or by the state’s counties, criminal aliens from Asia-Pacific countries pose a real economic cost to Oregon tax payers.

An individual inmate incarcerated in the DOC prison system costs the state approximately ($140.87) per day.

The DOC’s incarceration cost for its 51 criminal alien prison population from Asia-Pacific countries is approximately ($7,184.37) per day, ($50,290.59) per week and ($2,622,295.05) per year.

None of preceding cost estimates for the DOC to incarcerate the 51 criminal aliens from Asia-Pacific countries includes the dollar amount for legal services (indigent defense), language interpreters, court costs, or victim assistance.

Here are the ways Oregon residents were victimized by the 497 Mexican national criminals.

Significant numbers, there were 316 of the 497 criminal alien inmates from Mexico incarcerated in DOC prisons for three types of sex crimes — rape, sex abuse and sodomy — 63.58 percent of the Mexican national inmates in the state’s prisons.

Using DOC ICE immigration detainer numbers, the following table reveals the number and percentage of Mexican national inmates incarcerated on August 1st by type of crime.

When compared to the overall DOC criminal alien prison population, Mexican nationals were 80 of the 107 criminal aliens convicted of homicidal crimes (various degrees of murder and manslaughter) incarcerated in the state’s prison system — 74.77 percent of all alien inmates serving time for homicidal crimes.

Using the DOC ICE immigration detainer numbers from August 1st, the following table reveals the total number of criminal alien inmates incarcerated by type of crime, the number of Mexican national inmates incarcerated by type of crime and the percentage of Mexican national inmates incarcerated by type of crime.

Beyond the DOC Mexican national incarceration numbers and incarceration percentages, per county and per type of crime, criminal aliens from Mexico place a substantial economic burden on Oregonians.

An individual inmate incarcerated in the DOC prison system costs the state approximately ($140.87) per day.

The DOC’s incarceration cost for 497 Mexican national inmates is approximately ($70,012.39) per day, ($490,086.73) per week, and ($25,554,522.35) per year.

None of preceding cost estimates for the DOC to incarcerate the 497 Mexican national inmates includes the dollar amount for legal services (indigent defense), language interpreters, court costs, or victim assistance.
