Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report

December 5, 2019

Lars:

It has been an interesting first full week in the month of December when it comes to criminal aliens (illegal aliens) here in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

This week we take a look at for your Pacific Northwest radio listeners a criminal illegal alien felon registered sex offender who was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) who has a past criminal history in the state of Washington.

According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Public Affairs November 18, 2019 news release titled “Sex Offender Arrested by Border Patrol” U.S. Border Patrol Agents operating in the El Centro Sector on Saturday, November 16, 2019 arrested Mexican national Sergio Cruz-Cabrera, age 32, for illegal entry into the United States.

Border Patrol Agents doing the processing of Sergio Cruz-Cabrera (ID: 365820; DOB: unknown), during records checks, discovered Cruz-Cabrera was convicted in 2013 for Assault with Sexual Motivation in Clark County, Washington. Sergio Cruz-Cabrera was incarcerated for 30 months for the criminal conviction.

The CBP news release indicated Sergio Cruz-Cabrera was removed from the United States in 2015.

Seeking additional information on the immigration status Sergio Cruz-Cabrera, I contacted via e-mail on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Public Affairs Officer Tanta J. Roman with the following questions:

Did ICE place an immigration detainer on Sergio Cruz-Cabrera during time periods he was incarcerated in the Clark County Jail and in the Washington Department of Corrections prison system?

How many times has ICE actually removed Sergio Cruz-Cabrera from the U.S.?

If Sergio Cruz-Cabrera was previously removed by ICE from the U.S., what were the dates and places Cruz-Cabrera was removed from the country?

Has Sergio Cruz-Cabrera ever previously served time in a federal prison for an immigration crime or violation?

On Friday, November 29th, ICE Public Affairs Officer Roman sent via e-mail the following response to my preceding questions on Sergio Cruz-Cabrera:

“Registered sex offender Sergio Cruz-Cabrera is a Mexican citizen and in the United States illegally.

“On Dec. 17, 2012, Cruz-Cabrera was arrested by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Clark County Jail in Vancouver, Washington, on felony charges of assault-2 with sexual motivation and child molestation.

“On Jan. 4, 2013, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) encountered Cruz-Cabrera at the Clark County Jail and lodged an immigration detainer the same day.

“On April 23, 2013, Cruz-Cabrera pleaded guilty to assault-2 with sexual motivation and was sentenced to 27 months incarceration at the Washington Department of Corrections (DOC). The child molestation charge was dismissed.

“On Feb. 26, 2015, Cruz-Cabrera completed his sentence and was turned over to ICE for immigration proceedings. On March 24, 2015, Cruz-Cabrera was removed to Mexico via El Paso, Texas.

“On Nov. 16, 2019, Cruz-Cabrera was arrested by the U.S. Border Patrol near Calexico, California, after illegally re-entering the United States. He is being held at the San Luis Regional Detention Center in California, pending prosecution proceedings for illegal re-entry.” – Tanya J. Roman, ICE Public Affairs Officer.

Mexican national criminal illegal alien felon sex offender Sergio Cruz-Cabrera is another example of the thousands of previously deported aliens that U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents apprehend annually who try to illegally reenter the U.S.

Lars, first full week in the month of December and another criminal alien report for Lars Larson Show KXL FM 101.1 Pacific Northwest radio listeners.
