Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report

September 5, 2019

It has been an interesting first week in the month of September when it comes to criminal aliens (illegal aliens) here in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

This week we take a look at for your Pacific Northwest radio listeners an illegal alien who has been charged with the crime of murder in the state of Washington.

On August 11, 2019 Benton County Sheriff’s Office Gang Team along with the help of the Washington State Patrol, Union Gap Police Department and Yakima Police Department took Silvestre Rojas Fuentes into custody in Union Gap, Washington for allegedly shooting to death his wife Graciela G. Gomez, age 51, on August 10, 2019.

Silvestre Rojas Fuentes (ID: 204682; DOB: Dec. 31, 1963), age 55, is currently incarcerated at the Benton County Jail in Kennewick, Washington where a viewing of the jail’s Daily Inmate Roster on September 3, 2019 revealed he had been charged with Murder-1, his bail set at $500,000.00.

Seeking additional information on the immigration status Silvestre Rojas Fuentes, I contacted via e-mail on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman with the following questions:

Does ICE Public Affairs Officer know if Silvestre Rojas Fuentes is illegally present in the United States?

Has ICE placed an immigration detainer on Silvestre Rojas Fuentes since he has been incarcerated at the Benton County Jail?

Has Silvestre Rojas Fuentes ever been held at the Tacoma Northwest Detention Center?

How many times if any has ICE removed Silvestre Rojas Fuentes from the U.S.?

If Silvestre Rojas Fuentes has been previously removed from the U.S., what were the dates and locations ICE took Rojas Fuentes into custody and removed him from the country?

Does ICE Public Affairs know Silvestre Rojas Fuentes’s country of origin?

On the same day, September 3rd, ICE Public Affairs Officer Roman sent via e-mail the following response to my preceding questions on Silvestre Rojas Fuentes:

“On Aug. 11, 2019, Silvestre Fuentes-Rosas, a Mexican citizen, and repeat immigration violator, was arrested in the city of Union Gap by local authorities on the charge of murder and booked into the Benton County (Washington) Jail. U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer with the jail the same day. Rosas has been previously removed from the United States in 1998 and 2010.” – Tanya J. Roman, ICE Public Affairs Officer.

“Detainers serve as a legally-authorized request, upon which a law enforcement agency may rely, to continue to maintain custody of an alien for up to 48 hours so that ICE may assume custody for removal purposes. Pursuant to ICE policy, all ICE detainers are submitted with an accompanying administrative arrest warrant or warrant of removal depending upon the circumstances of the individual case.” – ICE Public Affairs.

Analyzing ICE Public Affairs Officer Roman’s statement on Silvestre Fuentes-Rosas, who Benton County Sheriff’s Office is currently identifying a Silvestre Rojas Fuentes, indicates the alleged wife killer may be using an alias.

Mexican national illegal alien Silvestre Rojas Fuentes aka Silvestre Fuentes-Rosas is a far too common example of previously deported aliens reentering the U.S. illegally annually who go on to commit serious crimes.

Lars, the first week in the month of September and another criminal alien report for Lars Larson Show KXL FM 101.1 Pacific Northwest radio listeners.
