Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report
August 1, 2019
It has been an interesting first week in the month of August 2019 when it comes to criminal aliens (illegal aliens) here in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
This week we take a look at for your radio listeners a criminal illegal alien who has been convicted again for a sex crime against child in the state of Oregon.
On June 27, 2019 Roberto Santiago-Martinez (SID: 22500693; DOB: 03/21/1981), age 38, was sentenced in a Washington County Circuit Court room in Hillsboro, Oregon to 75 months in prison after he was convicted of the crime of first degree Sex Abuse.
An 11 year-old girl was the victim of serial child sex abuser Roberto Santiago-Martinez.
At the time of his most recent conviction for Sex Abuse Roberto Santiago-Martinez was already incarcerated at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, Oregon where he is serving a 150 month sentence for prior convictions of Sex Abuse for impregnating a 14-year-old girl in Washington County.
Seeking information on the immigration status Roberto Santiago-Martinez, I contacted via e-mail on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman with the following questions:
Is Roberto Santiago-Martinez illegally present in the United States of America (USA)?
Was Roberto Santiago-Martinez illegally present in the USA during his current and past separate convictions for the crime of sex abuse against the two young girls?
Did ICE place an immigration detainer on Roberto Santiago-Martinez when he was incarcerated in the Washington County Jail?
Has ICE placed an immigration detainer on Roberto Santiago-Martinez since his incarceration in the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) prison system?
Has Roberto Santiago-Martinez ever previously served time in a federal prison for an immigration crime or violation?
How many times if any has Roberto Santiago-Martinez been removed from the USA?
If Roberto Santiago-Martinez has been previously removed from the USA, what were the dates, times and locations he was removed from the country?
Does ICE Public Affairs know Roberto Santiago-Martinez’s country of origin?
On Friday, July 12, 2019 ICE Public Affairs Officer Roman sent via e-mail the following response to the preceding questions on Roberto Santiago-Martinez:
“ICE has lodged two separate detainers on Roberto Santiago-Martinez, a Mexican citizen who is in the United States illegally. ICE lodged the first one March 27, 2018, with the Washington County Jail in Oregon after Santiago-Martinez was arrested for rape and sexual abuse. He was convicted of two counts of felony sexual abuse April 17, 2018, and relocated to the East Oregon Correctional Institution, part of the Oregon Department of Corrections, to serve his sentence. On April 26, 2018, ICE lodged a detainer with the Oregon Department of Corrections on Santiago-Martinez. That detainer is active.” – Tanya J. Roman, ICE Public Affairs Officer.
Some background information on criminal alien sex abusers from Washington County incarcerated in the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) prison system:
Roberto Santiago-Martinez, a Mexican national, was one of 45 criminal aliens on June 1, 2019 from Washington County incarcerated in DOC prisons for the crime of sex abuse.
On June 1st Mexican nationals were 161 of the 184 criminal alien sex abusers incarcerated in state’s prisons — 83.48 percent of the alien sex abusers in the state’s prisons.
