Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report

May 23, 2019

Lars:

It has been an interesting last full week in the month of May when it comes to criminal aliens (illegal aliens) here in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

This week we take a look at for your Pacific Northwest radio listeners an illegal alien who has been charged with multiple counts sexual molestation in Franklin County, Washington.

On Monday, May 13, 2019 I undertook an investigation into the immigration status of Jose C. Gomez (ID: 0000070201; DOB: May 13, 1976), age 43, who has been incarcerated at the Franklin County Jail located in Pasco, Washington since May 2, 2019.

A viewing of the Franklin County Corrections Daily In Custody Report dated May 13, 2019 revealed that Jose C. Gomez had multiple Child Molestation charges against him plus ICE had an immigration detainer (ICE Hold) placed on him:

Seeking information on the immigration status Jose C. Gomez, I contacted via e-mail on Monday, May 13, 2019 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman.

Here are the questions I sent via e-mail to ICE Public Affairs Officer Roman:

Is Jose C. Gomez illegally present in the United States of America (USA)?

Has Jose C. Gomez ever previously served time in a federal prison for an immigration crime or violation?

How many times if any has Jose C. Gomez been removed from the USA?

If Jose C. Gomez has been previously removed from the USA, what were the dates, times and locations he was removed from the country?

Does ICE Public Affairs know Jose C. Gomez’s country of origin?

On Friday, May 17, 2019 ICE Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman sent via e-mail the following statement on alleged sexual molester Jose C. Gomez:

“On May 3, 2019, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an immigration detainer on Jose C. Gomez aka Jose Gomez-Garcia, an illegally present citizen of Mexico, who is being held at the Franklin County Jail.

Gomez has previously been encountered by immigration authorities on two occasions. On March 31, 2007, and again on April 2, 2007, Gomez was apprehended by the Border Patrol attempting to illegally enter the U.S. near San Diego, CA. Both times, he was allowed to voluntarily return to Mexico rather than be detained for immigration removal proceedings.” – Tanya J. Roman, ICE Public Affairs Officer.

On Thursday, May 22, 2019 while preparing this report on twice deported illegal alien Jose C. Gomez, I found out the Franklin County’s Sheriff’s Office is now suppressing information on the immigration status of inmates; the Franklin County Corrections Daily In Custody Report no longer indicates if inmates have an immigration detainers (ICE Holds) placed on them — case in point Jose C. Gomez:

The reason the Franklin County’s Sheriff’s Office is no longer showing ICE Holds in the
Franklin County Corrections Daily In Custody Report is Washington Governor Jay Inslee signed a law on Tuesday May 21, 2019 that prohibits the state, county and local law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status of inmates and inquiring about country of origin of inmates unless the information is directly relevant to a criminal investigation; furthermore, the law prohibits state prisons, county and local jails, from complying with federal immigration detainers or notifying ICE agents when criminal alien inmates are released from custody.

Lars, the last full week of May and another criminal alien report for Lars Larson Show KXL FM 101.1 Pacific Northwest radio listeners.
