Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report
October 4, 2018
It has been an interesting first week in the month of October when it comes to criminal aliens (illegal aliens) here in the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
This week for your KXL FM 101.1 Pacific Northwest radio listeners we take a look into the backgrounds of two illegal aliens who are being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the State of Washington at the at the Tacoma Northwest Detention Center (NWDC).
Raquel Martinez Diaz, a Mexican national and Viacheslav Poliakov, a Russian national, are immigration detainee’s at the NWDC, who made the regional and national news for participating in hunger strikes and for the two’s lawsuit against ICE to prevent federal immigration officials from force feeding them.
Wanting to find out why Raquel Martinez Diaz and Viacheslav Poliakov were in ICE custody at the NWDC and being removed from the United States of America (USA), I contacted via e-mail on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 ICE Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman to investigate the immigration status of Diaz and Poliakov.
Six days later, on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 25th, here is what ICE Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman had to say via e-mail in response to my inquiry for information on Raquel Martinez Diaz and Viacheslav Poliakov:
Raquel Martinez Diaz:
“Raquel Martinez Diaz was apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on three occasions attempting to enter the United States. Each time, Diaz was allowed to voluntarily return to Mexico rather than be placed into immigration removal proceedings. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) encountered Diaz March 12 when she was serving 180 days at the ADA County Jail in Boise, Idaho. She entered ICE custody Aug. 16.” – Tanya J. Roman, ICE Public Affairs Officer.
“Viacheslav Poliakov was apprehended at the San Ysidro Port of Entry by U.S. Customs and Border Protection March 26. An immigration judge issued him a final order of removal Aug. 30, and he has filed an appeal with the Board of Immigration Appeals, which is pending. Beyond his immigration violations, Poliakov does not have any criminal convictions in the U.S.” –Tanya J. Roman, ICE Public Affairs Officer.
On October 3, 2018 ICE Public Affairs Officer Tanya J. Roman reported “There are approximately 1370 detainees at the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) and 410 detainers with the Washington Department of Corrections.”
Analysis of the preceding information:
Raquel Martinez Diaz is a Mexican national illegally present in the USA who has attempted to illegally enter the country on three prior occasions but was apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
After her successful illegally entry into the country, Raquel Martinez Diaz was encountered by ICE agents while she was serving a 180 day sentence at the Ada County Jail which is located in Boise, Idaho.
Viacheslav Poliakov is a Russian national illegally present in the USA who has attempted to illegally enter the country on one occasion but was apprehended by U.S. CBP at the San Ysidro Port of Entry which is located in San Diego, California.
According to ICE Public Affairs Officer Roman, the Russian national has no criminal convictions in the USA.
