Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report
November 10, 2016
It has been an interesting second full week in the month of November when it comes to criminal aliens here in the Pacific Northwest part of the United States of America.
This week we put another face to alien crime for your radio listeners — aliens who have violated out nation’s immigrations laws when they were brought into the United States illegally as minor children by their parents. They are collectively as children and parents are referred to as illegal aliens.
A brief history: In an attempt to deal with a significant portion of the millions of illegal aliens present in the country, on June 15, 2012, the administration of U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama, through an executive action, instituted through a memo, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. DACA is administered by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Service (CIS).
Congressional opponents to the Obama administration’s DACA program voted to defund the program in June 2013, opponents believing the president though the use of a memo can’t waive or change U.S. immigration law. The U.S. House of Representatives’ rejection of administration’s DACA program was not successful because the program administered by CIS is self-funding through fees.
After reading the DACA tables, my understanding is there are a total of 741,546 DACA participants nationwide.
In the three states of Oregon, Washington and Idaho there are 31,023 DACA participants:
– 10,995 DACA participants in Oregon,
– 16,987 DACA participants in Washington,
– 3,041 DACA participants in Idaho.
The election of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States will likely mean an end to the Obama administrations’ DACA program.
One important element of U.S. President-Elect Trump’s immigration vision is to “immediately terminate” the Obama administration’s “executive amnesties.”
Current participants in the DACA program are very likely to be put back in line for removal from the country with their parents.
A stark reality for DACA participants is U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services is a part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which includes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). If these DHS sister agencies share information it won’t be that difficult to round up these illegal aliens and remove them from the country.
Lars, the second full week in the month of November and another criminal alien report for Lars Larson Show FM 101.1 radio listeners.
