Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report
August 11, 2016
Lars:
It has been an interesting second full week in the month of August when it comes to criminal aliens (illegal aliens) here in the Pacific Northwest.
This week we take a look at for your KXL FM 101.1 radio listeners — illegal aliens who rape the residents of Oregon.
On Tuesday, August 2nd the Hermiston Police Department arrested Reynardo Mendoza Barrera (VINE ID: 121068), age 35, for the alleged rape of a woman in Hermiston, Oregon.
Barrera is currently incarcerated at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton where online jail records indicate he has been charged with one count first degree rape, two counts of first degree criminal trespass, one count of third degree theft and one count of INS I-203 order to detain bail.
Some background information: Reynardo Mendoza Barrera was previously incarcerated at the jail for the crime of first degree fail to appear during time periods in September 2013, October 2013 and February 2014. While incarcerated at the jail during these time periods Reynardo Mendoza Barrera had INS Holds placed on him.
More background information: Reynardo Mendoza Barrera was also arrested on April 16, 2012 by the Hermiston Police Department for a series of incidents that occurred at or near Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church. After police arrested Barrera, he was taken to the Umatilla County Jail where he was charged with assaulting a public safety officer, criminal mischief in the first degree, resisting arrest, criminal trespass in the second degree, and disorderly conduct in the second degree.
After a week of investigation, on Thursday, August 10, 2016 while preparing for my weekly KXL FM 101.1 radio 2:45 pm Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report, I became determined to find out the actual current immigration status of alleged rapist Reynardo Mendoza Barrera, so I e-mailed a list of questions to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.
Rose M. Richeson, ICE Spokesperson, Office of Public Affairs – Seattle Field Office, answered my questions on the immigration status of Reynardo Mendoza Barrera in this way:
“Good morning David,
The following information is provided for your use in today’s segment on foreign national crime. This can be attributed to me – Rose Richeson, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson: “After conducting a comprehensive review of Mr. Barrera’s immigration and criminal histories, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) determined that Mr. Barrera is a civil immigration enforcement priority because of his 2014 felony conviction. To that end, the agency filed a notice of action (Form I-247D – Request for Voluntary Transfer) with the Umatilla County Jail. Mr. Barrera was previously granted voluntary return to Mexico twice in 2007.”
The official news statement from Rose Richeson, ICE Spokesperson, revealed that Reynardo Mendoza Barrera, a Mexican national, was deported twice in 2007. The ICE Spokesperson also disclosed that ICE officials were trying to remove Barrera for a felony conviction that occurred in 2014.
What we don’t know at this time is whether ICE officials are trying to remove Barrera from the country for the crime(s) he may committed or been convicted of relating to incidents in Hermiston in 2012 or another unrelated felony conviction.
Another thing we don’t know at his time about ICE officials relating to their current attempt to remove Reynardo Mendoza Barrera from the country for a prior 2014 felony conviction is whether he was ever in ICE’s custody after his probable release from court ordered supervision (probation) or incarceration in a county jail or state prison.
Clearly it remains too easy for criminal illegal aliens like Reynardo Mendoza Barrera to illegally enter and illegally reenter the country and commit crimes.
Unfortunately only after Reynardo Mendoza Barrera’s third illegal entry into the country would we learn the grim consequences of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, Citizenship and Immigration Services) inability to keep him out of the country — on August 2nd a woman was raped.
Lars, the second full week of August and another criminal alien report for Lars Larson Show KXL FM 101.1 radio listeners.
