Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report

May 16, 2013

Lars:

It has been an interesting second full week in the month of May when it comes to criminal aliens here in the State of Oregon.

Tuesday, May 14th, the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton, Oregon had six criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 3.85% of the jail population the United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had identified as possibly being in the country illegally. One of the six criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at Umatilla County Jail was involved in some type of drug crime, 16.67% of the alien jail population (Methamphetamine).

Tuesday, May 14th, the Washington County Jail in Hillsboro, Oregon had 53 criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 9.26% of the jail population the U.S. DHS–ICE agents had identified as possibly being in the country illegally. Six of the 53 criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Washington County Jail were involved in some type of drug crime, 11.32% of the alien jail population (Methamphetamine and Cocaine).

Tuesday, May 14th, the Yamhill County Jail in McMinnville, Oregon had five criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 2.86% of the jail population U.S. DHS–ICE agents had identified as possibly being in the country illegally. One of the five criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Yamhill County Jail was involved in some type of drug crime, 20.00% of the alien jail population (Racketeering).

This week we have news from the Oregon State Capital about Senate Bill 833 that was passed during the current 2013 Oregon State Legislature legislative session that grants some form of Oregon driver privilege card to foreign nationals illegally in the country (illegal aliens).

Oregon State Rep. Kim Thatcher (HD-25) and Rep. Sal Esquivel (HD-6) have signed on as two of the chief petitioners of a referendum (#301) titled “Protect Oregon Driver Licenses” that will put SB 833 before Oregon voters in the next 2014 state wide election if enough signatures for the referendum are gathered.

If Lars Larson listeners who are registered Oregon voters want the opportunity to decide whether or not illegal aliens should be allowed to drive in the state, they should go to the “Protect Oregon Driver Licenses” referendum website and download signature sheet, print it out, sign it, and mail their signature sheet to the referendum’s petitioners (See links).
