Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report

March 28, 2013

Lars:

It has been an interesting last full week in the month of March when it comes to criminal aliens here in the State of Oregon.

In March 2013, county correctional facilities and jails in Clackamas, Jackson, Linn, Lincoln, Marion, NORCOR, Polk, Umatilla, Washington, and Yamhill counties incarcerated 154 criminal aliens for various crimes that had United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had identified as possibly being in the county illegally.

Clackamas County Jail with ICE Holds (3/08/13): 20

Jackson County Jail with ICE Holds (3/08/13): 7

Lincoln County Jail with ICE Holds (3/27/13): 1

Linn County Jail with ICE Holds (3/11/13): 5

Marion County Correctional Facility with ICE Holds (3/11/13): 43

NORCOR (1)  with ICE Holds (3/12/13): 4

Polk County Jail with ICE Holds (3/12/13): 6

Umatilla County Jail (2)  with ICE Holds (3/20/13): 8

Washington County Jail with ICE Holds (3/20/13): 56

Yamhill County Jail with ICE Holds (3/20/13): 4

Total ICE Holds: 154

(1) NORCOR, an acronym for Northern Oregon Regional Correction Facilities, incarcerates prisoners for Hood River, Wasco, Sherman and Gilliam counties.

(2) Umatilla County Jail incarcerates prisoners for Umatilla and Morrow counties and Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

As a group, for the three months of 2013, the preceding 10 county correctional facilities and jails incarcerated an average of 145.33 criminal aliens per day with U.S. DHS–ICE Holds.

This week we have news for your radio listeners from the 2013 Oregon State Legislature.

Legislation has been introduced by the same pro-illegal alien Oregon state legislators that brought you and your listeners in-state tuition international students illegally in the country.

Now hidden in the Oregon House of Representatives Rules Committee awaiting action, House Bill 3226 would grant persons unable to prove their legal presence in the country (illegal aliens) the ability to legally drive in the state.

Because of these errant pro-illegal alien Oregon state legislators wanting to give Oregon Drivers Licenses to illegal aliens, I decided to evaluate how many of the 154 criminal aliens incarcerated in the preceding county correctional facilities and jails were charged with some type of driving crime or violation and may pose a future risk to Oregonians if HB 3226 becomes state law.

Of the 154 criminal aliens incarcerated in the preceding correctional facilities and jails, 23 (14.93 percent) of the criminal aliens were charged with some type of driving crime or violation.

Often connected with alien’s charged with driving crimes or violations are the crimes of forgery and indentify theft, nine of the 154 criminal aliens (5.84 percent) were changed with the two later criminal activities.

Lars, the last full week of March and another criminal alien report for Lars Larson Show F.M. 101.1 radio listeners.
