This week we have a particularly vicious criminal alien of the week to report to your radio listeners.
Gerardo Chavarria was arrested by the Keizer Police on November 6, 2011 and charged with Two Counts of Murder and Two Counts of Criminal Mistreatment I in connection with the death of 4-year old boy named Sebastian Iturbe. Sebastian Iturbe was Chavarria’s girl friend’s son.
Waving his right to a trail, Chavarria plead guilty on Tuesday, March 19th, in a Marion County court to a lesser charge of One Count Manslaughter I and Two Counts of Criminal Mistreatment I.
Lying for more than two years about how the little boy’s death had actually occurred, Chavarria admitted in court that he in a fit of anger had repeatedly slammed the child’s head against the floor for merely spilling a beer.
For killing a 4-year old child over a spilled beer, a Marion County judge sentenced Chavarria to 25-years in the Oregon Department of Correction prison system.
Gerardo Chavarria during the time he awaited trial was incarcerated at the Marion County Correctional Facility in Salem, Oregon where at the jail U.S. DHS–ICE agents had identified him as possibly being in the country illegally.
