Currently there are five Foreign Nationals (criminal aliens) incarcerated at Linn County Corrections in Albany, Oregon for various crimes who have a United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Holds placed on them by U.S. DHS–ICE (See link).

It has been an interesting first full week in the month of July when it comes to criminal aliens here in the State of Oregon.

Thursday, July 5th, the Clackamas County Jail in Oregon City, Oregon had 14 criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 3.22% of the jail population the United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), agents had identified as possibly being in the country illegally. Five of the 14 criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Clackamas County Jail were involved in some type of drug crime, 37.71% of the alien jail population (methamphetamine).

Thursday, July 5th, the Jackson County Jail in Medford, Oregon had 18 criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 7.83% of the jail population U.S. DHS–ICE agents had identified as possibly being in the country illegally. Eight of the 18 criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Jackson County Jail were involved in some type of drug crime, 44.44% of the alien jail population (methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana).

Of the 230 inmates that can be incarcerated at the Jackson County Jail, the 18 criminal aliens take up approximately 7.83% of the jails capacity to house inmates.

For the seven months of 2012, the Jackson County Jail has averaged 13.00 criminal aliens per day at the jail.
