Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report
July 19, 2012
It has been an interesting third full week in the month of July when it comes to criminal aliens here in the State of Oregon.
Tuesday, July 17th, the Washington County Jail in Hillsboro, Oregon had 73 criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 12.76% of the jail population the United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had identified as possibly being in the county illegally. Twelve of the 73 criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Washington County Jail were involved in some type of drug crime, 16.44% of the alien jail population (methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and marijuana).
This week we have a criminal alien of the week to report to your radio listeners.
Monday, July 16th, Hector Torres-Espinoza was arrested and charged with Hit and Run Vehicle Injury and Assault in the 2nd Degree in Washington County and he was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants in Clackamas County.
According witnesses, Torres-Espinoza got into a driving altercation with another driver after leaving a nightclub. The driving altercation occurred when the driver of another vehicle tried to pass Torres-Espinoza’s slow moving vehicle. Apparently during the driving altercation the two vehicle’s occupants threw beer bottles at each other. Torres-Espinoza’s vehicle allegedly rammed the other driver’s car repeatedly while it was stopped at a traffic signal. When the driver got out of his vehicle, Torres-Espinoza allegedly ran over him with his vehicle.
The result of Hector Torres-Espinoza’s multi-county drunken-driving-road-rage-rampage has left Eduardo Hernandez-Dominguez in Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in critical condition.
Nineteen (26.00%) of the 73 criminal aliens at the Washington County Jail are in the jail for some type of driving violation or crime; five of the aliens are in jail for violating their probation related to previous driving violations or crimes.
Turning to the State of Oregon, there is bad news on the horizon concerning the future public safety of all Oregonians; Governor John Kitzhaber is working to introduce legislation during the 2013 Oregon State Legislature session that would allow the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue Oregon Drivers Licenses (ODL) to undocumented foreign nationals (illegal aliens).
If the current lawless driving habits of illegal aliens in Washington County (Oregon’s second most populous county) are any indicator of what their possible driving behavior might be in the future if they are allowed to legally drive on the streets, highways, and freeways of our state, Governor Kitzhaber should terminate his plan to issue ODL’s to illegal aliens in the state.
