Lars Larson Show: Criminal Alien of the Week Report
January 5, 2012
It has been an interesting first week in the month of January when it comes to criminal aliens here in the State of Oregon.
Tuesday, January 3rd, the Clackamas County Jail in Oregon City, Oregon had 18 criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 4.15% of the jail population the United States (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), agents had identified as possibly being in the county illegally. Two of the 18 criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Clackamas County Jail were involved in some type of drug crime, 11.11% of the alien jail population (methamphetamine, and heroin).
Wednesday, January 4th, the Jackson County Jail in Medford, Oregon had 9 criminal aliens incarcerated at the jail, 3.91% of the jail population U.S. DHS–ICE agents had identified as possibly being in the county illegally. Five of the 9 criminal aliens with U.S. DHS–ICE holds at the Jackson County Jail were involved in some type of drug crime, 55.55% of the alien jail population (methamphetamine, and cocaine).
This week we have a criminal alien of the week story to report to your radio listeners which relates to a criminal alien activity that occurs far often in our state.
Monday, January 2nd, the Salem Police department officers arrested Efren Avalos-Villa in connection with a hit and run accident.
In what can best be described as an episode out of the “Cops” television series, Avalos-Villa was involved in an automobile accident, fled the scene of the accident, once pursued by police, he leaped from his vehicle, and left it to roll into Market Street traffic.
Putting his personal safety aside, Salem Police Officer Erik Hernandez jumped into the rolling vehicle before it could injure other motorists while other police officers arrested Avalos-Villa.
Avalos-Villa has been charged with two counts of attempting to allude, one count reckless driving, one count reckless endangering, and one count of hit and run.
Currently, Efren Avalos-Villa is incarcerated at the Marion County Correction Facility (MCCF) in Salem where U.S. DHS–ICE agents have placed an ICE hold on him.
Lars, the first week of January, and three different criminal alien reports for your KXL 101.1 radio listeners.
